Our weekly round-up of the things that inspired us, challenged our thinking or left us with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
First World Problems A really nice campaign from DDB New York for Water Is Life that takes the First World Problems meme and brings it back to reality by using piece to camera vox pops from people in abject poverty. I particularly love the closing line”#FirstWorldProblems are not problems”. Great idea and execution! [Cheers to @Kolby84 for sending this my way, definitely the link of the week.]
Facebook ad campaign: Things that connect us
I love a good piece of brand advertising and Facebook have done a good job dramatising how the physical and digital worlds allow us to connect with one another. Emotional.
NikeFuel Station interactive installation
Onformative continue to impress me with their interactive pieces, and this installation for London’s NikeFuel Station is of no exception. Using an Xbox 360 Kinect as the mode of input and your body as the medium each user can create their own digital pixel avatar, record the experience and share it through social media. “Consumers made nearly 2,000 videos in the first month, moving more in a store than they’d ever done before.”
Stop getting Bond wrong!
I’m a massive fan of Alan Partridge so I thought I’d share this short video with you in light of the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall. Not safe for work (unless you work in an agency).
